Windows Phone 7 has brought Microsoft back into the smartphone market in a big way. Dynamic tiles, a smooth user interface, and a variety of other features make it a serious competitor in the smartphone market alongside both Android and iOS. While it may not be taking the world by storm in terms of market share, the mobile platform is rumored to be one of the major influences surrounding the upcoming Windows 8 operating system for the PC.

So, what’s new with Mango? We caught up with Microsoft at a recent GDGT event in Seattle to find out.
